Weed Wacker is a fast-paced arcade-style game where you use a lawnmower to protect your garden gnomes from mutant weeds. Try to keep every gnome alive for as long as possible, as you are scored on their survival time.

Right now the game isn't complete, as it is still lacking music and many sound effects, but it is in a decently playable state with only a little more balancing needed (ok maybe a lot of balancing).

Controls
Use your mouse cursor to aim, and hold shift to accelerate

Tips
- Get rid of weeds quickly before they can reproduce, or else they will grow exponentially
- Look out for flowers, which have special effects when mowed
- Weeds will spread faster with each mutation level

I was doing good until about 6:20 and lost 4 gnomes ;-; lost at around 8 mins. nice game!

Great job! I liked the game a lot, I think it has great potential for becoming a highly addictive game ;) An addition of upgrades and the likes would do wonders.

Thank you!

The game felt a bit aimless. I just kept running around in circles over and over for a couple minutes. Dunno if I'm missing something

I survived 12 minutes with a score of about 16920, is that good? I was wondering what was the effects of flowers as they don't seem to be doing anything.

edit - I read the Design doc and figured out you can boost by pressing Shift and the flower boosts you even more... By far a better experience with that feature!

Haha 😅 you are the third person this has happened to! I'm currently working on making the controls and mechanics more apparent with a little tutorial at the beginning. I think your score is pretty decent. My top score was 30000 but I knew the best strategies so it might be cheating.

Honestly the game is interesting but it is really hard.

Thanks for the feedback! Could you please elaborate on what parts of the game were hard?

At some point it just becomes impossible to remove everything. Which i supposed is the point, if its just an arcade game. The only other issue I had is my mouse cursor would i guess move off of the game and the guy would be stuck going in one direction.
