ROG is an ASCII-styled dungeon roglike where every floor is a test of survival. Navigate procedurally generated levels, collect keys, and race for the exit—all while evading deadly monsters with unique AI.

About the Development

ROG was developed in 2 days for the final project of the CPSC 370: Agile Development interterm course. The goal was for our team of 5 to implement what we learned about Agile Development, clean code, unit testing, version control, and team communication to efficiently develop a command line program in a short time frame.

Member Contributions

Cristian Melgoza: Created base GameObject and Grid system. Designed enemy layouts for the levels. Spearheaded production and assisted with C# syntax.

Brent Matthew Ortizo: Created scalable level generation and optimized enemy AI + integrated and merged several branches into production (i.e, enemy wireframes inheriting from GameObject).

Irene Ichwan: Created wireframe for the skeleton, goblin, wraith, and general entity movement, as well as functionality for the key collection and door opening.

Fares Alhezaimi: Created significant unit tests and integrated lore for the Start Screen, End Screen, and Win Screen with a typewriting animation.

Queenie Lin: Worked on Start Screen and End Screen + Game UI, refactoring, and worked with Irene on enemies.
